CONTEXT
The site is situated within Calne-Without Parish and extends to around 12ha. The site is within the designated Calne and Calne Without Neighbourhood Plan Area.

The site is approximately 0.6 miles from Calne town centre and is within walking distance of a range of shops and services found within Calne.
The site is bordered immediately to the west by residential development off Sand Pit Road There are further new residential developments to the north and northwest.
​
The site is proposed to meet the housing land supply shortfall of Wiltshire Council and will provide a range and mix of housing including affordable homes.
